Emptiness
The shark is there because it is empty.
A solid animal is absent. Yet the mind recognizes it immediately.
MAKING EMPTINESS
The shark appears massive, but there is almost nothing inside it.
Its body is an enclosure around empty space.
What looks solid is built around absence.
THE WORD BECOMES THE ANIMAL
The word SHARK is not decoration applied to the surface. The word becomes the structure from which the animal appears.
BUILDING THE SHARK
The shark emerged from the printer in raw white sections.
Those separate parts could then be handled, aligned, fitted,
and assembled into the continuous body.
The digital construction became something that could be built by hand.
THE DIGITAL BODY BECOMES PHYSICAL
After assembly, the printed form entered another stage.
The pale raw print was plated, changing the surface, weight,
and presence of the object.
The digital body had become a physical sculpture.
WORDS BECOME MATERIAL
The language that formed the digital skin became physical structure.
Words were no longer simply read. They became the material of the body.
Language becomes skin. Skin becomes sculpture.
THE ENCOUNTER
Once the shark entered the world, something unexpected happened.
People did not simply look at it. They played with it, reacted to it,
and entered into its presence.
The sculpture became an encounter.
